Sony always provides products with good human interface engineering. This product is easy to use without any time spent in the manual. I bought an Insigna at Best Buy and took it back. I can plug this Sony into my USB port and my computer immediately recognises it as another drive and I can cut and past pictures as I would on any hard drive. The Insigna didn’t have this capability so I had to first transfer the pix to a flash memory card and stick that into the frame. You will not regret paying a bit more if your time is of any value.

I purchased this for my girlfriend last Christmas and included an SD memory card preloaded with pictures. It has not been unplugged since (which has cured some of my fears of longevity). As one of the other reviews mentions; there is an issue with aspect ratios. However, the only pictures that I have had difficulties with are those that are taken in vertical orientations. The vast majority of my horizontal pictures fill the entire screen and are relatively clear. I would appreciate the presence of an on/off switch but it is not a deal breaker. Over all, it is a “cute” product and most girls will probably appreciate it just for that fact. A little more stylish than most of the digital pic frames on the market. However, there are better ones out there.
